Attaches to a verb or adjective stem with the noun-forming -음 to show one situation changing in step with another; formal, written register common in reports and news.

Examples

    As technology has developed, lifestyles have also changed greatly.

  • 인구가 줄어듦에 따라 학교 수도 감소하고 있다.

    As the population decreases, the number of schools is also decreasing.
