-은 지 오래되었다

it's been a long time since ~

Attaches to a verb stem (past -은/ㄴ 지) to state that a long time has passed since an event happened; the opposite of -은 지 얼마 안 되다, describing something as no longer recent.

Examples

  • 저는 이 동네에 산 지 오래되었어요.

    It's been a long time since I started living in this neighborhood.

  • 그 친구와 연락한 지 오래됐다.

    It's been a long time since I contacted that friend.

  • 이 건물이 세워진 지 오래된 것 같아요.
