Meanings

1. 1

   A connective ending used when recognizing the truth of the preceding negative fact, and adding another fact that is the opposite of it.

   앞에 오는 말이 나타내는 부정적인 사실을 인정하면서 그와 반대되는 다른 사실을 이어 말할 때 쓰는 연결 어미.

2. 2

   A connective ending used to express the assumption that a certain negative situation will occur, and emphasize the following statement that is the opposite of it.

   어떤 부정적인 상황을 가정하여 나타내면서 그와 반대되는 뒤의 말을 강조할 때 쓰는 연결 어미.
