Meanings

   An expression used to indicate that one does the act mentioned in the preceding statement, as a test.

   앞말이 나타내는 행동을 시험 삼아 함을 나타내는 표현.

   An expression used to indicate that one experienced the act mentioned in the preceding statement earlier.

   앞말이 나타내는 행동을 이전에 경험했음을 나타내는 표현.

Examples

• 오늘 광장에서 큰 행사가 있으니 구경 한번 와 보세요.

  There's a big event at the plaza today, so come check it out.

• 선 보기 싫다고만 하지 말고 어떤 사람인지 일단 만나 보렴.

  Instead of just saying you don't want to go on the blind date, at least meet the person once first and see what they're like.

• 요새 광고를 엄청나게 하길래 궁금해서 나도 그 화장품을 한번 사 봤다.

  They've been advertising it so much lately that I got curious and bought that cosmetic myself to try.

• 엄마, 백화점에서 청바지를 세일하고 있는 것 같아요. 그래? 그럼 마음에 드는 것으로 하나 골라 봐.
