   An expression used to state that the content of the preceding statement is one of several reasons for doing the act mentioned in the following statement.

   앞말의 내용이 뒤의 말이 나타내는 행위를 하는 몇 가지 이유 중에 하나임을 나타내는 표현.

   An expression used to list two or more of the reasons for doing the act mentioned in the following statement.

   뒤의 말이 나타내는 행위를 하는 이유 중 두 가지 이상의 이유를 나열할 때 쓰는 표현.

   ※ 주로 '-고 -고 해서'로 쓴다.

Examples

• 모처럼 쉬는 날이고 해서 친구들과 쇼핑을 나갔다.

  Since it was a rare day off, among other reasons, I went out shopping with friends.

• 승규는 창밖을 보니 날씨도 추울 것 같고 해서 두꺼운 옷으로 골라 입고 나왔다.

  Seunggyu looked outside and, thinking it looked like it would be cold, among other reasons, picked out thick clothes to wear.

• 유민이는 입맛도 없고 해서 그냥 점심은 거르기로 했다.

  Yumin had no appetite, among other reasons, so she decided to just skip lunch.

• 지금 살고 있는 집은 방도 좁고 해서 이사를 가려고 해. 그게 좋겠네. 집이 회사에서도 좀 멀지?

  The room in my current place is small, among other reasons, so I'm planning to move. That sounds like a good idea. Isn't it a bit far from your office too?

• 지수는 피곤하기도 하고 날씨도 좋지 않고 해서 오늘은 외출하지 않기로 했다.

  Jisu was tired and the weather wasn't good, among other reasons, so she decided not to go out today.

• 삼계탕은 영양가도 높고 맛도 있고 해서 인기가 많다.

  Samgyetang is popular because, among other things, it's nutritious and tasty.
