   An expression used to indicate that one feels or guesses something by appearance as mentioned in the preceding statement.

   겉으로 볼 때 앞말이 나타내는 것처럼 느껴지거나 추측됨을 나타내는 표현.

   ※ 끝음절의 모음이 ‘ㅏ, ㅗ’가 아닌 형용사 뒤에 붙여 쓴다.

• 오늘 승규의 안색이 밝아 보였다.

  Seunggyu's complexion looked bright today.

• 지수는 체격이 작아서 실제 키보다 더 작아 보인다.

  Jisu has a small build, so she looks even shorter than she actually is.

• 나는 디자인도 예쁘고 고급스러워 보이는 가방을 싸게 샀다.

  I bought a bag cheaply that has a pretty design and looks luxurious.

• 이것이 우리 눈에는 낡아 보이더라도 누군가에게는 유용한 물건이 될 수도 있다.

  Even though this may look worn-out to us, it could be a useful item to someone else.

• 좋은 일이 있었나 봐? 기분이 좋아 보여. 아, 오늘이 제 생일이거든요.

  Did something good happen? You look happy. Oh, today's my birthday.

• 지수는 또래보다 다섯 살은 어려 보여서 가끔 오해를 샀다.
